Hamyang is a pristine village located in the southern part of South Korea, in South Gyeongsang Province. It is known for its picturesque natural landscapes that include 16 mountain peaks, deep valleys, and tranquil forests. Scholars in Hamyang often found inspiration in the numerous pavilions erected around Hwalim Valley.
From the serene trails of Sanglim Park to the historic corridors of Namgye Seowon, each site is a portal to the essence of Korean heritage.
You will be staying in ‘Seohadawoom Youth Residence’, a platform that connects young travelers to the local community.
It is a single floor accommodation with 4 rooms. Each room is equipped with a single bed and a bunk bed, suitable for 2 to 3 people to stay in. It also has 2 bathrooms with showers available.
A kitchen is available for anyone who wishes to cook, and the laundry facilities can be used free of charge. There’s also a children’s library (closed on Sundays) that is a 2 minutes walk away, and convenient store 5 minutes walk away from the accommodation.
There’s a cafe right next to the accommodation, where you can buy coffee, tea, other beverages, and desserts.
You will be served sandwiches or bread for breakfast, and various Korean food for lunch and dinner.
“A Must-Do for Nature Lovers!”
If you love nature and want to experience Korean culture, this trip is a must-do! We had an amazing time harvesting potatoes, eating local food, and making our own traditional fans. The evening spent cooking with freshly picked ingredients was the highlight!
“Perfect Blend of Fun and Culture!”
Our Hamyang trip was the perfect blend of fun and cultural enrichment. We picked our own dinner ingredients from the farm, enjoyed nature, and engaged in creative activities like fan making. Every moment was enjoyable and memorable.
“Relaxing and Enriching!”
Spending time in Hamyang was both relaxing and enriching. The nature was beautiful, and the activities were diverse and engaging. Volunteering to harvest potatoes and cooking our own meals was a unique experience that we’ll always cherish.
