Attention all K-pop fanatics! Are you a die-hard fan of BTS, Seventeen, and Txt? Well, have we got a trip for you! Imagine spending three epic days exploring the same spots your beloved idols have visited, dined at, and even filmed their awesome content in. Plus, you’ll have a chance to lend a helping hand and give back to the communities your idols also care about. And if your favorite idols aren’t from HYBE, we’ve got you covered with SM and YG theme trips too. So, gear up, K-pop fans! It’s time to make a difference and walk in the footsteps of your idols.
Start off your day with a delicious lunch at Yoojung Sikdong – the very same restaurant where BTS enjoyed meals during their early training days. Adorned with photos, stickers, plushies, and BTS merchandise, the restaurant boasts a special relationship with the band. You won’t want to miss the popular menu items, which include Yoojung Ssambap, Bibimbap, Stir-fried pork, and Budaejjigae (Army Soup). After a satisfying meal, take a break at Cafe Hyunga, which used to be BTS’ old dorm, and enjoy some coffee and snacks.
Next up, it’s time to hit the Line Friends Gangnam Flagship Store, home to BT21 characters and all sorts of cute Kpop goodies. After browsing and shopping, pop over to Cafe Camptong, where BTS filmed an episode of their show BTS RUN. It’s time for some serious shopping at the COEX Ktown4u mall, filled with pop-up stores, cafes, and even a Kpop academy. Stock up on all your fave merch and albums.
After all that retail therapy, you’ll be ready for some chow. Head to Deabongjib, the BBQ joint where Seventeen filmed their drinking live. Feast on all sorts of meaty goodness, soups, drinks (both alcoholic and non-alcoholic), and sides. With full bellies and bags of goodies, we’ll call it a day and gear up for more adventures on day two!
Get ready for another exciting day! Today is all about giving back, so you’ll either volunteer either the morning or afternoon, depending on which options are available and need support. If you are going in the morning, you can lend your hand at a Soup Kitchen and help prepare food for the homeless and elderly, or at an animal shelter to care for dogs that were rescued from illegal dog farms.
Hopefully all the volunteering will happening the morning. But if it doesn’t then we will have a afternoon schedule as backup.
If circumstances has the volunteering occurring in the afternoon you will either make Gimbap or enjoy some free time before lunch, followed by volunteering to help with the selling of BIG ISSUE magazines for the homeless, or to remove harmful organisms at an Ecological Park near the Han River.
After a hard day’s work, indulge in some high-quality pork BBQ at the Golden Pig, a popular spot visited by Jimin and Jungkook, if volunteering occurred in the morning. Alternatively, Macau Doulao Hot Pot, Seventeen’s hangout spot, will be dinner if volunteering occurred in the afternoon. Indulge in some delicious food before we say goodbye on Day 3!
Get ready to wrap up your K-pop adventure with a bang! We’ll kick off the day by visiting the filming location of Wonwoo’s 2019 MAMA VCR: the serene Seoul Forest. Follow along the BTS bench tour and spot inspiring quotes from each member scattered throughout the forest. After a refreshing walk, we’ll rest our feet at Rice Cooking Cafe, 밥짓는 커페, a spot TXT used to frequent as trainees.
Our next stop is the historic Daeo Bookstore, the oldest of its kind in Seoul, visited by none other than BTS’s very own RM and even IU, a non-HYBE artist who filmed a music video outside. Once we’ve had our fill of books, we’ll head to Bonobo Cafe, a DIY paradise where you can jazz up clear phone cases, make slime, or even create your own photo card frames!
For some last-minute shopping, we’ll swing by WITHMUU in the AK Mall to grab some K-pop merch goodies. And to end the perfect trip, we’ll dine under the stars by the Han River, and soak in the picturesque view. End your 3-day K-pop tour in Seoul with delicious food and unforgettable memories.
We’ve wrapped up three days of delightful and thrilling experiences featuring HYBE artists. Although we may not have been able to cover every hangout spot of each artist, we hope we hit the ones you were excited about and that you enjoyed every bit of the journey. Keep your eyes peeled for more K-pop-themed locations throughout Seoul, including those mentioned by idols during live streams. And if you’re interested, join Planet Zoom again for SM and YG-themed trips – who knows, maybe even other K-pop companies in the future! Keep an eye out for our blog updates for information on other trips and volunteer opportunities with Planet Zoom!
