Article 1 (Purpose)
The purpose of these terms and conditions is to specify the rights, obligations, and responsibilities of users in using the internet and mobile services (hereinafter referred to as “Services”) provided by planetzoomin.com (hereinafter referred to as “Planet Zoom-in”). Planet Zoom-in Center Inc. (hereinafter referred to as the “Company”) operates the services.
Article 2 (Key Definitions)
① “Planet Zoom-in” refers to the website or virtual online marketplace created by the “Company” to allow “users” to use the products of the Company or its affiliates.
② “User” refers to individuals who use “Planet Zoom-in,” including “regular members,” “affiliate members,” and “non-members.”
③ “Affiliate member” refers to individuals who have registered for a business partnership according to the procedures specified by the Company and have the right to continuously use the services provided by Planet Zoom-in by regularly updating them.
④ “Regular member” refers to individuals who have completed the Company’s specified identity verification process among “preliminary members” and have the authority to engage in profit-generating activities related to “rentals.” The terms “regular member” and “preliminary member” together are referred to as “members.”
Article 3 (Amendment of Terms and Conditions)
① The “Company” will post the “Terms and Conditions,” the name of the Company, the name of the representative, address (including customer center address), phone number, email address, and business location on the initial screen of the homepage so that users can refer to the information. The specific contents of the “Terms and Conditions” may be displayed on a separate page linked from the first page.
② The “Company” may change the “Terms and Conditions” at any time, except where it violates the Electronic Commerce Consumer Protection Act, the Act on the Regulation of Terms and Conditions, the Electronic Signature Act, the Information and Communication Network Act, and the Door-to-Door Sales Act. Such changes are made without prior notice and are effective immediately.
③ In the event that Planet Zoom-in amends these terms and conditions, it will provide notice of the amended terms and conditions, including the effective date and reasons for the amendment, on the homepage’s initial screen at least seven days before the effective date. Planet Zoom-in will also notify users of the amended terms and conditions via email, and if users do not raise objections within four weeks, they will be deemed to have agreed to the amended terms and conditions.
Article 4 (Services)
① Planet Zoom-in performs the following tasks:Providing information and related services on products and services.Other services provided by Planet Zoom-in for users.
② Planet Zoom-in provides a platform for users and affiliate members to post “content” and provide services or products, and some of the “content” is not produced directly by Planet Zoom-in. Therefore, the responsibility for some of the “content” created by partner members lies solely with the suppliers.
③ In case Planet Zoom-in needs to change the scope of the services agreed upon due to resource shortages or technological changes, it will immediately notify users by email to the registered email address.
④ In the event of changes as mentioned in the preceding paragraph, Planet Zoom-in will compensate for damages caused by such reasons, excluding cases where Planet Zoom-in proves that it has no intentional or gross negligence.
⑤ Users are responsible for storing information displayed on the website and deemed necessary for evidence, accounting, and other purposes separately from Planet Zoom-in on a separate storage medium.
Article 5 (Temporary Termination)
① The service period is from the date when the service request is approved until the service termination point.
② Planet Zoom-in may temporarily suspend the provision of services in case of technical checks, maintenance, or communication interruptions. In such cases, Planet Zoom-in will announce the service interruption and the reason for the service interruption on the service’s initial screen on the website.
③ In case Planet Zoom-in terminates the service due to reasons such as a change in business or business closure, acquisition or merger, Planet Zoom-in will notify the users in accordance with Article 8 and compensate them in accordance with the predetermined conditions. However, in cases where no financial damage occurs to consumers, Planet Zoom-in will not be held responsible.
Article 6 (Registration and Verification)
① Users have an obligation to provide accurate, up-to-date, and complete information and to agree to these terms and conditions when registering according to the registration form created by Planet Zoom-in.
② Planet Zoom-in considers all users who register according to the above paragraph as “preliminary members.” However, the following cases are excluded:If a user registers false information. If Planet Zoom-in determines that it is difficult to register the user as a “preliminary member” for technical reasons.
③ The usage agreement takes effect from the moment the user receives approval from Planet Zoom-in.
④ Users have an obligation to notify Planet Zoom-in of any changes to their registered user information by email or other means.
⑤ “Preliminary members” must go through Planet Zoom-in’s authentication process to become “regular members” and use the service.
Article 7 (Termination and Account Termination)
① Users can terminate the use agreement with Planet Zoom-in at any time by applying to Planet Zoom-in. However, they must complete, revoke, or cancel all existing transactions before notifying the termination and are fully responsible for any losses incurred due to the cancellation of the transaction. Planet Zoom-in reserves the right to revoke all benefits provided to users upon membership withdrawal.
② Planet Zoom-in may deactivate or suspend the Planet Zoom-in account of users at any time, at its discretion, without responsibility and without notice or reason, as follows:If the user has provided false information during the registration process.If the user violates the obligation to pay in full or in part.
If the user interferes with other transactions, violates online commerce regulations, or violates the obligations of a user.
If the user violates their obligations as a user.
③ Planet Zoom-in may deactivate a user’s Planet Zoom-in account at any time, at its discretion, without responsibility and without notice or reason, as follows:
④ Except for claims for damages arising from illegal acts, the right of users to claim damages against Planet Zoom-in, which is restricted by this article, applies within one year from the statutory limitation period.
Article 8 (Notification)
① All notices or other communications may be made via the user’s email address provided by Planet Zoom-in.
② In the case of general notices to unspecified users, Planet Zoom-in may substitute individual notices by posting them on the site for more than one week. However, notices that significantly affect transactions will be given in the form of pop-ups
③ In case Planet Zoom-in needs to notify specific users, it may be done by email or phone.
Article 9 (Copyright)
① All intellectual property rights related to “content” provided by Planet Zoom-in, except for “content” posted by users (including affiliate members), belong to Planet Zoom-in. Users may not use “content” without the permission of Planet Zoom-in.
Article 10 (User Responsibilities)
① Users are prohibited from engaging in the following activities:
Article 11 (Provision of Information and Posting of Advertisements)
① Planet Zoom-in may post advertisements on the website or provide services related to other goods and services on the website. In this case, the terms and conditions related to transactions between the users and advertisers will be governed by the agreement between the parties, and Planet Zoom-in will not be held responsible.
Article 12 (User’s Obligation to Pay)
① The “Company” may provide services to users for free or for a fee. The user’s payment obligation and the fee for the paid services are specified by the “Company” on the site or separately by the “Company.”
② If a user becomes a “regular member,” the user is responsible for paying a fee for using the paid services provided by Planet Zoom-in.
Article 13 (Withdrawal)
① “Users” can request withdrawal of the use agreement at any time, and the “Company” will process the request according to the relevant laws and regulations.
② If a user requests withdrawal, the “Company” will refund the deposit for the relevant item, as well as the corresponding deposit processing fee and commission, in accordance with the relevant laws and regulations. However, if a user uses the product or services provided by an “affiliate member” that has partnered with the “Company” for profit-generation activities, the refund may be restricted in accordance with the partner member’s refund policy.
③ In the event that the “Company” has paid or provided additional promotional items or discounts in connection with the deposit, it may collect the amount paid or additional promotional items provided from the deposit.
Article 14 (Limitation of Liability)
① Planet Zoom-in will not be held responsible for damages caused by force majeure, including natural disasters and exceptional external circumstances.
② Planet Zoom-in will not be held responsible for any losses incurred by users due to interruptions in the use of the service resulting from their violation of these terms and conditions.
③ Planet Zoom-in will not be held responsible for damages caused by the display of malicious code or the actions of third parties, including other users.
④ Planet Zoom-in is exempt from liability for business losses or losses in transactions between users and affiliate members.
⑤ Planet Zoom-in is exempt from liability for any issues arising between users and affiliate members related to the purchase, sale, and rental of products, including disputes between users and affiliate members.
Article 15 (Governing Law and Jurisdiction)
① Planet Zoom-in and users agree to enter into an agreement to resolve any disputes related to the service in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Korea.
② Any disputes arising between Planet Zoom-in and users will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Seoul Central District Court.
Article 16 (Resolving Disputes)
① Planet Zoom-in establishes and operates a consumer dispute resolution agency to protect users’ rights and interests and resolve disputes. Users can apply for mediation of disputes arising from the use of online services.
Article 17 (Effective Date)
These terms and conditions will take effect on September 15, 2023.
